Rat Terrier - Nigel - Small - Adult - Male - Dog
Nigel is a special needs boy, both physically and emotionally. He is extremely timid and will need a very quiet environment and a guardian who can be very patient. It's hard telling what this boy has been through before he ended up at a high kill shelter in rural Kentucky and we probably don't want to know as it might very well be a sad story. He just likes to find a spot under a piece of furniture where he can lay and observe. Nigel also has an enlarged heart for which he takes medicine and will probably have to take the rest of his life. He has an injured leg which was never treated and has healed improperly so he has a very distinctive limp. The vet says that he is not in pain and doesn't feel it's necessary for it to be fixed. Nigel likes other dogs, but he doesn't play with them and he doesn't show any interest in cats. We would not want Nigel to go into a home with active young children. Nigel is current on vaccinations and is neutered. Please email us if you would like to be Nigel's guardian angel.
