Bernie came from the local shelter where he'd been for a long period of time. We feared he was in danger of being euthanized, so we got him out of there, but now he needs a home. As far as his breed goes, we think he's a Terrier mix, along with possible Shiba Inu. Both of these breeds have a high prey drive, like to chase small animals, so therefore, Bernie should not be in a home with cats, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters or gerbils. Bernie's prey drive would probably make him a good candidate for training to be a Frisbee dog or agility. He would also be a good rodent hunter. Bernie is a good boy, but he needs a home that can keep him busy or "entertained." He is housetrained (will go to the door when he needs to go out), goes into his crate when told, walks well on a leash and he loves to ride in the car. He is up to date on vaccinations and he's neutered. He is about 4-5 years old. Please contact us if you are interested in adopting Bernie.
